May 7 was the Brentwood Municipal Election with four City Commission seats up for election. There are 31,573 registered voters in Brentwood, of those only 4047 cast ballots. That is 12.8 percent of the eligible registered voters. Early voting accounted for 2,850 ballots, 9 percent of the eligible registered city voters. This percentage of early voting turnout exceeds the past two municipal elections in 2017 at 8.3 percent and in 2015, 8.9 percent, according to the Williamson County Election Commission.
The winners were Anne Dunn with 2,099 votes, Susannah MacMillan with 2,436 votes, Nelson Andrews with 1,854 votes, and Ken Travis with 2,212 votes. These vote totals are unofficial until May 15 when the election is certified by the Williamson County Election Commission.
