Ravenwood faced off against an undefeated Houston team Friday night in Brentwood for the semi-final game in their hunt for the TSSAA State Title.
The Raptors started slow, failing to convert on the first series. Houston launched a drive capped by a long break away run to quickly put the first points on the board.
Ravenwood quickly regained the momentum, putting 14 points on the board in the first quarter and seven more in the second to go into half time up 21-7.

Twice Houston was in the red zone and driving for the endzone, only to be stopped by a Raptor interception. Ravenwood finally sealed the game with a pair of touch downs in the fourth to win 42-21.
Ravenwood’s Brian Garcia threw for 189 yards and three touchdowns. Garcia connected with Jake Briningstool for six catches and 116 yards and with Ross Johnson four times for 51 yards and two touchdowns. Ravenwood faces Maryville (13-0) next Saturday, December 7, at 7pm, in the State Championship game at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, Tennessee.
